The two party system is broken, and  America can be better. 

We need selfless presidential candidates that are willing to change the system.

A referendum candidate will have these solemn oaths:

​

1. An alliance with two candidates from both parties.

One Democrat, One Republican.  Whoever shall win will be president, and the loser will be vice president

​

2. End first past the post for all federal elections. 

Every voter matters, and every vote counts.  By implementing either an Approval Voting, STAR voting or Rank Choice Voting we can break the deadlock that prevents change.

3. All elections come from public funds. 

No longer shall the ultra rich and corporations buy influence.  Democracy cries out for the people to be heard.

​

4. Payment enforcement

Powerful actors will do everything they can to prevent this change.  To enforce the will of the people, every month taxes to the ultra rich go up 1%, for 10 years, and these funds will go out equally to every citizen

​

5. Resignation once this is completed

This has to be a selfless act, and a placeholder government while we go through this change.
